Charles Cummings
Managing Director

Prior to joining Bravo, Mr. Cummings was a private investor leading a group of private investors in middle market growth companies serving the U.S. Hispanic market. Mr. Cummings was lead investor and co-founder of IESI Corporation, a non-hazardous waste management company that grew from start-up to $300 million in revenue and was acquired by BFI of Canada in February 2005. Mr. Cummings also has led investments in various Hispanic-focused quick service restaurants, including North Texas Pollo Campero and Pizza Patron.

From 1990 to 2000, Mr. Cummings was a managing director of AEA Investors, Inc. (AEA), a buy-out firm founded as an investment vehicle for families such as the Rockefeller, Harriman, Mellon and DuPont families. While at AEA, Mr. Cummings sourced and led investments mainly in the Southwest including Coke Enterprises (roll-up of Coca Cola and Dr. Pepper bottling companies located in Texas, Oklahoma and California) and Dal-Tile, a ceramic tile manufacturer in the U.S. and Mexico. During this period, the AEA management team generated an average net return to investors of approximately 39% on over $1 billion in equity; investments directly led and/or sourced by Mr. Cummings while at AEA generated in excess of $1.4 billion in gross profits and 34% annual rate of return.

Mr. Cummings acted as President or CEO of several AEA Portfolio Companies until sold. In addition, Mr. Cummings was President and CEO of Global Transportation Services, Inc., one of the largest logistics companies in the world.

Prior to joining AEA, Mr. Cummings was managing partner of the Fort Worth office of Arthur Young & Co. (now Ernst & Young). He currently serves on the boards of public and private companies engaged in a variety of businesses, including affordable housing, insurance, intra-ocular lens manufacturing, food flavor manufacturing and equipment rental.

Mr. Cummings is a Certified Public Accountant and graduate of Texas Tech University.
